Explore security solutions with Microsoft Security Store Advisor

Security Store Advisor provides a guided, natural language experience that helps customers explore Microsoft and partner security solutions, agents, and services for their security outcomes. Users can describe the outcome they want to achieve such as strengthen identity protection or improve ransomware resilience and the Advisor returns relevant offerings aligned to that scenario.

The Advisor is available to all users and requires no sign in.

What you can do with Security Store Advisor

Using this release of the Advisor, you can

  • Start with a natural language question and further deeply explore security scenarios via an interactive chat experience.
  • View recommended Microsoft and partner solutions with explanations for why they're relevant.
  • Compare similar solution type offerings side by side using attributes such as integrating services, ratings and reviews, pricing, NIST functions, certifications, and requirements.
  • Explore options immediately without signing in or needing prior product knowledge.

Note: Personalized or posture aware recommendations aren't part of this release.

There are no prerequisites required for this experience.

  • Tenant requirements: None

All interactions occur in unauthenticated mode.

How to access Security Store Advisor

  1. Go to the Microsoft Security Store website.
  2. On the landing page, locate the conversational search pane at the top.
  3. Type a question in natural language - for example:
    • strengthen identity protection
    • improve ransomware resilience
    • modernize my SOC
  4. Select a suggested prompt if you prefer to start from predefined scenarios.

The Advisor immediately interprets your query and displays relevant solutions.

Evaluate recommendations

For each solution or agent returned, you can view:

  • Solution description
  • Ratings and reviews
  • Integrating services
  • Relevant certifications
  • Free trial and Azure benefit eligible badges as applies

Recommendations are generated using scenario alignment and information provided in Security Store solutions such as solution description and associated security metadata only. The Security Store doesn't store any user data.

Compare solutions side-by-side

To compare similar offerings:

  1. Select two or more items of the same type, such as SaaS solutions, security agents, or professional services.

  2. Choose Compare.

  3. Review the comparison table showing:

    • Capabilities per solution description
    • Integrating services
    • Ratings and reviews
    • Pricing
    • Certifications
    • Requirements

Use these attributes to determine which solution best fits your organization’s needs.

Limitations
