This article explains how to deploy the Finance Agent for use within Microsoft 365 Copilot chat.
Prerequisites
Make sure you meet the following prerequisites.
Versions and licenses
- Microsoft Copilot
- For more information on licensing for Copilot, see License Options for Microsoft Copilot | Microsoft Learn.
- The Finance Agent is available in both desktop and online versions of the Copilot application. For more information, see Microsoft Copilot App.
- Microsoft 365
- Specific license requirements, Microsoft Product Terms, apply when utilizing connected capabilities between Copilot and Microsoft 365 (for example, exporting insights provided by the Finance Agent in Copilot chat to a Microsoft Word document).
- Connected ERP requirements (Optional) for integration with Finance Agent in Copilot chat, see Connecting Finance Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat to the ERP.
User requirements
- Native Microsoft Entra ID user
- External users aren't supported.
- Privileges required for ERP integration with the Finance Agent
- The ERP manages and governs access and user permissions to ERP data. The Finance Agent requires no additional settings or setups.
Finance Agent availability in Copilot chat
- By default, users of Copilot chat can access the Finance Agent. You can find it in the Agent Store in Copilot desktop app or online at copilot.microsoft.com. If you can't find the Finance Agent by searching for "Finance (Frontier)" in the Agent Store, contact your Microsoft 365 Administrator.
- Administrators can manage agent availability through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. To learn more, see Manage agents in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
