How to Stop Project Replication

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

You can manually stop any project replication using the project's Action menu Stop command that you access from the Commerce Server Staging (CSS) Microsoft Management Console (MMC). You stop project replication by stopping the project that is defined for the source staging server.

You may stop a project when the files are being deployed. The project will be canceled and all content at the destination will remain in its current state. After all files have been deployed and the project is complete, you cannot use the Stop command.

For Web content projects, you can use the Rollback command to rollback the content to an earlier version.

Note

In order to stop a replication, you must have permission to manage the project. You have permission if you are a member of the CSS Operators or CSS Administrators group or if you have project-level permission.

To stop project replication

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , and then click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In the Commerce Server Staging console, in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, expand the source staging server for the project that you want to stop, and then click Projects.

  3. In the right pane, click the desired project. The Status column must indicate the replication is currently Running. If the replication is already complete, you cannot stop it.

  4. Right-click the project that you want to stop, and then click Stop. In the Stop Project Replication dialog box, click OK to acknowledge the message.
