protected function PropertyValidationException(
message : String,
inner : Exception
)
Parameters
- message
Type: System..::.String
The error message that explains the reason for the exception.
- inner
Type: System..::.Exception
The exception that is the cause of the current exception, or a nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if no inner exception is specified.
Remarks
If the inner parameter is not a nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) reference, the current exception is raised in a catch block that handles the inner exception.
PropertyValidationException is thrown when an attempt is made to save an entity and at least one property of that entity does not meet the specifications for the property. Examples of this include nullNothingnullptra null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) values where not allowed, string values exceeding maximum length limits, or malformed data.
