Impossible d'utiliser mon code cadeau

Question

I am contacting you because I am unable to redeem a Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition gift code that my boyfriend purchased for me.

My situation: My boyfriend bought me a gift code for Minecraft. We both live in French Polynesia – the same country and the same region. However, when I try to redeem the code on my Microsoft account at [minecraft.net/redeem], I receive an error message saying that the code was purchased in a different region and cannot be activated.

What I have tried so far:

Verified that both our Microsoft accounts are set to the same region (French Polynesia).

Tried redeeming the code on different browsers (Safari, Chrome) and different devices (Mac and iPhone).

Made sure I was logged into my own Microsoft account, not his.

Despite all these attempts, the error continues to appear, and I cannot add the game to my library.

Additional proof (screenshots attached): As you can see in the screenshots I have attached to this message, both Microsoft accounts (mine and my boyfriend's) clearly show that our region is set to French Polynesia.

My request: Could you please help me understand why this is happening? Since both accounts are in the same region (French Polynesia), I believe this is a technical issue rather than a genuine regional restriction. Is there any way to manually validate or redeem this code?
