VS 2010 RC is ready for general download

The Visual Studio 2010 RC release is now available for general download! You can download the bits from here. You can read Jason Zander’s blog for more details about this release.

Like Beta 2, the RC release is a fully supported go-live release that you can use for live projects and production environments.

You can find out a lot of information about the Test and Lab Management products at https://blogs.msdn.com/vstsqualitytools/ and https://blogs.msdn.com/lab_management/ respectively, including information about what’s new in the RC release, as well as a set of videos that help you understand the product capabilities.

Several customers have already installed the products in their production environments, and their feedback has been great. I would strongly encourage you to take advantage of the go-live RC release and try out the Test and Lab Management products. I and my development team will be happy to hear from you about your experiences and help you out with any questions you may have.

Cheers!

Does anybody know what the future looks like for this version? Is there going to be a Portable Version?

We have installed VS Ultimate 2010 RC on our build machine and the build agent won't run the configured tests in the build script. It keeps asking for VS Team System. I guess there is no Team System edition in 2010. What is the right way to fix this?

Thanks for the help I got from Amit's team to resolve the issues around running automated tests during the team build. I highly appreciate the customer focus this team has!
