VC++ 2005 Channel9 Series

The VC++ Team is considering a series of Channel9 videos focused on the new technologies offered by VC2005. Examples of technologies that we are considering:

 C++/CLI, PGO, IDE new features, Secure CRT and many others.

I am trying to gather more information on what you all want to hear about. We are still in the planning phase of such series and hence your input is greatly appreciated. Feel free to leave your comments and I will make sure to consider every single suggestion.

Thanks a lot in advance for taking the time to reflect your feedback!

Thanks,

Ayman Shoukry

    It will be great if one of the videos has the topic of the new .NET and MFC integration and some details on the scenarios where managed and unmanaged C++ could be used together in the same application
    Thanks

    How about the new features in autoexp.dat? The old features are documented but the newer STL features are not. I would like to use it some of my custom structures.

    Training videos that describe how to integrate managed and unmanaged C++ are of course very important, but so are ones about integrating C++ with .NET feaures that are mainly or exclusively the domain of C#, such as Web Forms and ASP.NET, since most people would like to expose their back-end C++ applications using not only WinForms but also the Internet. "Building Web Services with VC7" would be a valuable video indeed!

    I haven't seen the vidoes section yet, but it'll be cool to include a video discussing the new features in VC++ 2005 like PGO and the new conformant language and such features :)

    PGO is for sure part of the series. BTW, I looked at your blog. Glad you were able to make use of the slides presented by Mohamed Shabar to Sakhr. PGO is a great optmization. I will be talking about PGO in the coming MDC even in Cairo, Egypt.

    I have a client looking for someone with significant web design experience.  In particular, my client is interested in knowledge of C++ and .NET experience, as he has several business-related sites and would like someone who not only can design, but who also can write software and design extra functions.  This is a serious and long-term contracting job.  If you or anyone knows someone with this experience and an interest, please contact me at tinadimeo@yahoo.com.Thank you.
