are categories useful to you?

In a post on his blog,
Ron implies that I should be categorizing stuff on my blog.  I never look at
categories on the blogs I read, so it never really occurred to me to categorize my
own posts.  Would my four readers find it useful if I did start categorizing
stuff?

    Well I am only one reader but I read your weblog via RSS. I sometimes use categories for tracking down old posts on weblog sites.

    Categories are great. Let's me know what you're talking about so I can decide whether I want to read it. Helpful when you are tracking hundreds of blogs (as I am).
