Developer Camps: Learn from Experts, Free, Informal and Coming Soon!
Back in June, I had the opportunity to attend a 2-day Web Camp here in Redmond. I was blown away. On Day 1, I learned a ton about HTML5/CSS/JavaScript. The instructors (maybe I should say “camp counselors”?), were true experts in each technology. The format was informal, which led to great discussions during the sessions and breaks. On Day 2, I was able to apply what I learned on Day 1 in hands on labs. Others that were more familiar with web development, did some app building in a hack-a-thon style, showing what they built at the end of the day.
When I got back to the office, we started talking about applying the DevCamps formula to other technologies to help developers build solutions for Azure and Windows Phone as well. So that’s what we did.
Azure Developer Camps and Windows Phone Developer Camps are being scheduled now. I’ll post dates and locations as they are scheduled.
The first Azure Developer Camp will be in the Silicon Valley Center in Mountain View, CA on 10/28-10/29 and registration is open. Hope to see you there!
