Windows 10, Redis and NoSQL
If you want to get started with Redis, a form of NoSQL as you begin to adapt to WIndows check out the MVA presented by Steven Edouard and Rami Sayar @ramisayar.

Why? It is useful to get to know the cloud and the related technologies as you also plan for the move to Windows 10 for your Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 apps. As a software developer you will need to understand how to use Platform as a service, this saves you a great deal of time and energy in gaining wealth. Or supporting non-profits globally. Or some reason that only you know about. Maybe communicating with space aliens.
My recommendation is to place the the Redis Quick Start MVA in your learning plan (knowing that a 4 hour course is not really a Quick Start in my lexicon).
Focus on the three modules, modules 2, 3, 4, because as with all MVAs, they are lengthy and this is a quick start in title only, on the other hand no one is going to hit a title that says:
Redis Cache in a carefully designed presentation that lasts 4 hours, which is totally the correct title as Steven and Rami are excellent at what they are presenting (nice job guys!):

So if you are looking for a quick start, here is why I am recommending that you use Module 2,3,4, and download each PowerPoint for use in your own presentations, blogs, twitter, etc.
So if are just getting started with redis:
Skip the Intro to NoSQL, if, like me, you just wanted to know about Redis, jump to module 2, and listen to it at 1.4 speed, Steve and Rami do not sound weird at 1.4. Make sure to download and review the slide deck in this module. Then start the slides at slide 9. It isn’t the best slide deck that I have seen from Steven, but who am I to complain, I haven’t done any MVAs. Remember no friends. Also, take the assessment or quiz till you get 100%. Make sure to copy the assessment question to notepad or similar so that you can use it for interview question practice.
Then Module 3, Advanced Data Structures, especially if you are taking a class on Data Structures this is good additional information. Again, download the slide deck and take the assessment, again, copy the question before clicking the complete button.
Finally, Module 4, Getting Started with Microsoft Azure Redis Cache, download the Powerpoint, then use all of the powerpoints in an Infograph to demonstrate your knowledge about Redis.
Once you have worked through these three modules, make sure to tweet about your experience, facebook it and so forth.
No matter what you think about the experience, make sure you let others know what you think, include a link to your tweets. Why? This will allow potential employers that you are interacting with useful material, or know what material is useless, not that this is useless, it is GREAT! But you might not agree. That is important for your career.
Although positive reviews are seen as a better representation of someone others will employ.
However, if you are interested in making your name as a blogger, then being a troll can help out with that, and of course it is always safe to knock Microsoft if you are developing a career as an internet troll. But please, don’t knock this MVA, on the other hand you can knock this blog. Seriously, no one really likes it. And here is what you can complain about: “Devschool as a blog pulled me into a very useful MVA on Redis, but did a bait and switch with Windows 10 in the title.”

Steven Edouard and Rami did a great job, you should watch all of the modules, these modules are the ones you want to watch at 1.4 speed. And you can earn points! Because POINTS!
