Reminder that December is the last month to order the Windows Essential Business Server Migration Kit
Earlier this year we announced that we would discontinue future development of Windows Essential Business Server (EBS). To help customers with this transition, we made available at no cost the EBS Migration Kit. The EBS Migration Kit helps customers migrate from the suite to the standalone products by providing most of the individual component software from the suite at no charge. This is a reminder that this offer expires on December 31st, 2010.
The EBS Migration Kit includes 3 licenses of Windows Server 2008 Standard, 2 licenses of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Standard, and Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 (with 10 Server Management licenses and 50 Client Management licenses). The kit is available for a limited time, from June 30th, 2010 through December 31st, 2010. Following December 31st, the EBS Migration Kit will no longer be offered and customers who wish to move to the individual products will need to purchase them through traditional channels. Customers who acquire the EBS Migration Kit today do not need to migrate out of the suite immediately.
