Software Update 1 for Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 Service Pack 1 now available for download

We are happy to announce the availability of Software Update 1 for Microsoft Forefront TMG SP1.

This update contains the following enhancements:

SafeSearch Enforcement. Forefront TMG can enforce blocking adult text, images and videos from search results by popular search engines. SafeSearch can be enforced on specific groups or to the entire organization.
Including non-primary URL filtering categorizations. Forefront TMG uses an algorithm (described in this post) to select a URL’s “primary” category from among up to four categorizations provided by Microsoft Reputation Services (MRS). In Update 1 you can control access to sites that match any of the non-primary categorizations provided by MRS. For example, a URL with a primary categorization of News can now match a rule by any of its non-primary categorizations (such as Web Mail).
Support for Exchange 2010 SP1 – This update provides support for Exchange 2010 SP1, including a fix to the problem reported in this post.
Bug fixes and various other improvements

In the coming days we will publish additional posts going into more details about these enhancements.

The update is available on the Microsoft download center. Please note it must be installed on top of TMG 2010 SP1. If SP1 is not already installed, please make sure to install it first.

The update is currently available in English, but additional languages will be available on the download center soon.

We hope you will find the update useful.

Does this update also fix the issue where TMG overwrites all configuration settings on Exchange Edge Receive Connectors when it should not? Christian

I also need to know more about the fixes included.  An earlier post indicated the alternate port web publishing issue would be fixed and this will increase confidence in the product.

Hi, We have a problem with SP1, I mean after installing the SP1 and all other TMG kb's now we cannot access the TMG server with RDP, before installing the SP1 and other TMG updates we could acess the TMG server from external ocation (with diffirent poort then 3389) and from internal domain with port 3389, but not we cannot do that any more, when try to access the TMG server with RDP we get the same Error  as if the Remote desktop is not enabled  at all on the server!!! this is not the case I did check the remote option and it is enabled ,and  the wirde thing is we can access all other publieshed Website and T.S servers behind this TMG just not the TMG itself. Does any one came accross this issue?
