Your Cellphone records are now for Sale! for $95 SCARY.
A couple of days ago - SunTimes ran this article that cellphone records are now for sale to anybody for a price.
Potential scenarios for shortlisting customer segments and therefore positioning strategies were also stated:
- Criminals: To expose a government informant who regularly calls a law enforcement official.
- Suspicious spouses: can see if their husband or wife is calling a certain someone a bit too often.
- Employers: can check whether a worker is regularly calling a psychologist -- or a competing company
No - I am not joking at all - here is a company that can help you in infringe on your privacy! "Though this problem is all too common, federal law is too narrow to include this type of crime," Senator Charles Schumer for Chicago said in a prepared statement. Translation: We have no clue - what to do! Yikes.
