Messenger Library on Canal+

Canalplus.jpg

Another Messenger Library app has been spotted; this time by the French television channel, Canal+. Just recently they added Messenger integration into their popular Soccer site. Fans can now watch videos on Canal+ and log into Messenger to chat with their friends.

The functionality is straight forward. Users login via the Sign-In Control and are able to IM their friends. I did however want to point out that Canal+ did a great job of integrating the Messenger experience into their site. Within that small real estate, you have a very rich user interface. On the left, they have an accordion slider bar which easily allows you to toggle between your contact list and open conversations. On the right, you can change your status or personal message and see you and your buddy’s user tile. Above all, the Messenger functionality blends seamlessly with the look and feel of the application.

This is a great example of what you can do with the Windows Live Messenger Library. It's a clean and fast app that adds value for its users.
