Building a Silverlight Skateboard
As Sean noted in this blog post, he commissioned a handful of Silverlight skateboard decks based on the one in the intro video on silverlight.net. Sean gave me a few of these to hand out at my MIX talk, but he also graciously gave me one as well. A few of these were made into complete skateboards like the pics in Sean’s blog post, but I got just the deck. I wanted to build this into a functioning skateboard as I did a lot of skating in high school and college.
I dialed up the parts from CCS and took pictures of the assembly process. Inspired by Nigel’s Buzz produced slideshow and the slick Silverlight skin it uses when uploading to our streaming service, I used Buzz to make a skateboard assembly video. Take it up with Sean. He is the keeper of the Silverlight decks. :)
