Windows 10 sets out to make your interaction with technology as natural as your interaction with people, and we appreciate apps that do the same. Here is a list of eight productivity boosting apps that embody our vision for Windows 10.
1. OneNote
Microsoft’s OneNote is a note-taker that works lives in the cloud and is available for all kinds of devices including phones, tablets and laptops. The web clipper makes it easy to record interesting things you’ve found online, or you can “stick” emails, photographs and scans from your device in your notebook for future reference.
2. Wunderlist
Whether you’re planning your weekly shop or managing a big project, Wunderlist is an easy-to-use program that works across most devices. As well as allowing you to save quick notes, it also lets you host discussions, share lists and set reminders.
3. Remind Me
Remind Me helps you stay on top of a busy to-do list, with reminders of future activities and deadlines and a countdown you can stop and resume as needed.
4. Taskify
Another tool in the scheduler space, Taskify provides a clutter-free experience for creating to-do lists and then checking off things when they're done. You can create lists for work tasks and personal responsibilities, add notes for each one and set reminders for due dates.
5. Poki for Pocket
Poki is a client for Pocket, a service that makes it easy to save articles, videos and websites you find online but don't have time to read. You can use the tool to send yourself links and to bookmark items in your browser. When you're offline, you can use Poki to favourite, archive, add and delete items.
6. Trello
Trello is project management tool for personal or business use. You can compile ideas and lists on individual boards for corresponding tasks, and add content including photos, videos, audio recordings, and comments for each project. When they are ready, you can share project boards with other team members.
7. Splashtop Business
This app helps you work remotely by transforming a mobile Windows 10 device into an extension of your workplace desktop. No matter where you are, you'll be able to access the documents, media, and software stored on your work PC.
8. Team Viewer Touch
Team Viewer Touch is a specialist application for gaining remote access to other computers. By downloading Team Viewer on two PCs, you can access the app to perform functions on remote machines such as troubleshooting or providing online sale support.
Everybody is different when it comes to what they want from productivity apps, but with such great variety to choose from, I’m sure you’ll find a perfect fit. Remember, if you haven’t already, you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free to get the best productivity experience possible.
