Two Microsoft programmes are bringing Azure to NZ’s burgeoning tech talent. BizSpark and DreamSpark provide free Azure along with other benefits to our up-and-coming startups and young developers. The @BizSparkNZ team have been helping 700+ promising Kiwi startups for more than 5 years now. Through BizSpark, companies like Wipster, PageProof and Future Insight get their hands on free Microsoft software, tools and up to USD $750 p/month of Azure. Startups scale up to 10x faster with BizSpark, and when they’re ready to go big they're eligible to apply for BizSpark Plus, in conjunction with The Lightning Lab, to receive $120,000 worth of Azure.  Last week the New Zealand BizSpark team headed to the Lean15 conference. There they joined Creative HQ at SUPERCHARGE in the launch of Lighting Lab XX – an accelerator for female lead startups, beginning on International Women’s day. If you know of a fledgling startup, have them visit bizspark.com to apply for help from Microsoft people and tools. We have a calling to increase the number of promising startups fuelling New Zealand’s economy. Building the pipeline of talent is part of the puzzle. Enter DreamSpark. Students get professional-grade developer and designer tools at no cost. If you’re interested in encouraging students to create the next big breakthrough in technology - or just get a head start on their career, head over to dreamspark.com. If you know young technical students, they might also be interested in next year's Microsoft Student Accelerator.
