New release: Modern Trend app for Excel

The Microsoft ecoSystem group is pleased to announce the free Modern Trend app for Excel. It is now available on Office Store!

The Modern Trend app helps you tell a story based on your Excel data. With a few steps, your data is shown on an interactive trend chart. You can pin the specific data points on the chart, and add descriptions on the canvas.

Currently, the app can:

  • Bind and show your data on a trend chart. 
  • Basic interactions on the chart
    • Show or hide a line with a legend.
    • Pin or unpin a data point.
  • Add a description directly on the canvas

If you are interested in developing your own apps for Office and SharePoint, we have great news: we will publish the Modern Trend app source code soon. Stay tuned for more great apps for Office and SharePoint released on the Office Store.
