System usage data in Microsoft OMS explained
A question we sometimes get here on the Microsoft Operations Management Suite team is “Why is my data usage primarily being used by System?” This typically comes from a customer who views their Usage per Solution graph in the OMS portal and sees something like this:
While this may initially seem confusing, System is the category for data that isn’t directly attributed to an OMS Solution. You should only see this on Operations Manager attached environments, therefore the more computers managed by Operations Manager, the larger the volume of this System data. Conversely, if you are not connecting OMS to an existing System Center Operations Manager environment then you may not see a category for System at all.
