Announcing: Detailed BizTalk Server 2004 Performance and Security Whitepapers

As part of our ongoing commitment on security, transparency and predictability the BizTalk Server team has today delivered two important and lengthy whitepapers. These whitepapers are available for all customers and partners.

A. BizTalk Server 2004 Performance Characteristics

Unlike our competitors in the integration space Microsoft is taking the stance that the right thing to do for our customers is to provide transparency into performance characteristics to assist our customers in building the best solutions on top of our platform. The performance whitepaper provides an unprecedented amount of data describing in detail the performance characteristics of the BizTalk Server product both at the individual component level and across multiple components in the form of some simple scenarios. Also included is useful information on low latency scenarios.  These data should be useful to all customers implementing BizTalk Server solutions. Of course no two BizTalk Server solutions have the same component interactions so make sure you understand the implications of the numbers described.

B. Secure Deployment

The secure deployment whitepaper details how to securely deploy BizTalk Server, the various components and SQL Server with detailed TMA analysis and options. With this whitepaper customers can ensure their solutions have been deployed in a secure manner. These data should be useful to all customers implementing BizTalk Server solutions and should be considered as part of any BizTalk Server project.
