It's all about adapters (part #1: Adapter Development Whitepaper)
You know the pesky code that talks to all variety of entertaining back-end systems and applications. Today we bring you (direct from a key developer on the adapter framework itself) a super cool whitepaper on the ins and outs of adapter development. Great stuff - and of course the author Kevin now has a blog.
Come back after July 4th fireworks and your day off in the sunshine - well at least for the American's reading this blog who still don't quite understand all my references to rucks and mauls :) - for part #2 which will make your life much easier when creating adapters through an adapter wizard for Visual Studio .NET.
P.S. I'm in Copenhagen airport (on wireless of course) on my way home for TechEd EMEA. Thanks to everyone who attended sessions and especially people who came up and said hi. Go BizTalk!

Right in time. I was just starting to develop an adapter for MRO's MAXIMO (inventory system) and the white paper turned out to be a good read. Thanks guys.
