Whidbey Beta tip #1: Express SKU starter kits

One of the items we worked on for the C# Express SKU, was the Screensaver Starter Kit. To start it goto File->New Project and select Screen Saver. Once the project is open, we specifically open up a simple HTML file that will help out people who want this project.

This is a buildable app, with simple explanations that Express users/hobbyists can work on and extend. You too can create your own starter kits - documentation for this is available inside MSDN help.

Have you tried this yet? We would love to get your feedback on our code and the application. What Starter kits do you see yourself wanting/writing in the future?

Is the Screensaver Starter Kit included with the Visual Studio 2005 Beta (full SKU)?

I haven't had a chance to download the beta, but I'm interested in playing with the screensaver sample and am hoping I don't have to download and install the Express SKU just to play with the sample in the full SKU.

I'd really love to see a managed direct-x starter kit for C#...
