SQL 2014 In-Memory OLTP papers released
We have released a new feature in SQL Server 2014 that may significantly improve OLTP application performance called “In-Memory OLTP” codename "Hekaton". A single blog post cannot come close to describing the features, benefits and complexities of implementing and using Hekaton. Take a look at the following new papers to help determine if Hekaton is right for you and get you up and running.
CAT has released In-Memory OLTP – Common Workload Patterns and Migration Considerations. This paper was written from the experiences gained during the Pre-RTM phase of SQL 2014.
Additionally Kalen Delaney worked with the SQL Product Group to write SQL Server In-Memory OLTP Internals Overview. Kalen’s paper will also help you get a jump start using In-Memory OLTP with a few samples and walkthroughs to help you understand each component of In-Memory OLTP.
