I Want One of These

My biggest complaint about Microsoft is the fact that we don't spend enough time talking about the really cool and innovative products we develop.  Not that Windows and Office aren't innovative.  Hell we changed the world with just those two products alone.  And don't get me started talking about SharePoint and Office Communications Server.  Even in a down economy the interest in those products continues to grow.  BTW, I'm still waiting to see a Zune commercial or product placement.

What I want to talk about here is

Never heard of or seen Surface?  Check out www.microsoft.com/surface/Default.aspx?page=Videos#gid=demos&vid=n1 to see what it looks like and how it works.  No other vendor in the world has a product like this.

I want one of these in my living room right now!  This would totally complete my home theater.  I suspect (no proof of course) that Bill Gates has one in his house, but he's the Chairman of the Board and the founder of the company so I suppose he can have whatever he wants.  Unfortunately Surface is only available to commercial customers and no, there is no employee discount - like I have an extra $12.5K sitting around anyway ;-)

But alas, a girl can dream......
