Test Workplace Join with a self-signed certificate

If you want to test Workplace Join with a self-signed certificate, you might encounter this error:

“Confirm you are using the correct sign-in information and that your workplace uses this feature. Also, the connection to your workplace might not be working at the moment. Please wait and try again.”

Please note that the next step will explain how to work arround this error, however this is acceptable in test environments only. In a production environment we highly recommend to use publicly trusted SSL certificates.

  1. Open Internet Explorer, go to Options and select the Advanced tab.
  2. Scroll to the security section.
  3. Deselect “Check for server certificate revocation”
  4. Hit “Apply”

Go back to the Workplace Join and try again.
