Microsoft Partners ICONICS and PROS Showcase Solutions Conforming to Microsoft’s Chemical Reference Architecture (CHEMRA) at ACHEMA 2012

At the ACHEMA 2012 conference this week in Frankfurt, Germany, Microsoft partners PROS and ICONICS are announcing new solutions designed to help today’s chemical companies ensure they are successful in the future by leveraging the power of big data, streamlining processes and pricing, and enabling data exchange from multiple locations and devices.

At the event, PROS is showcasing its new big data pricing optimization solutions to help companies leverage data and pricing analytics to improve sales and pricing performance, mitigating the volatility of raw materials and global currency fluctuations.

In addition, ICONICS is announcing new versions of two of its industry solutions: MobileHMI, the mobile version of its plant data and resource planning solution, and GENESIS64 V10.7, an advanced HMI/SCADA automation suite that integrates systems and data to manage industrial processes. MobileHMI can be used on Windows Phone 7 to provide access to visualizations, data and alerts from anywhere, allowing companies to mobilize their workforce.  GENESIS64 V10.7 integrates multi-touch technology, intelligent asset navigation, fault detection and diagnostics, and a Microsoft Silverlight-based dashboard to help
companies save time and improve performance.

All three solutions conform to the Microsoft Chemical Reference Architecture (ChemRA), a framework and set of practical guidelines developed by Microsoft and a number of leading industry partners. The goal of the ChemRA is to enable customers to implement interoperable IT solutions on a solid, secure, and reliable foundation so they can facilitate collaboration and innovation management at enterprise scale. The framework
provides guidance on issues such as big data, sustainability, interoperability, and cloud computing, and establishes standards and best practices for chemical companies to ensure they keep pace with technical innovations in the industry both today and tomorrow.
