Unable to send email invitations from within the Live Meeting console?

Problem

When using the Invite by Email option found in the Live Meeting 2007 client, users would see the error message "Unable to send e-mail invitations. If you have Microsoft Outlook 2002 or later, make sure it is your primary email program."

Symptom

User would open a Live Meeting session such as a Meet Now. Then from within the Meet Now meeting, user would attempt to Invite participants to their Meet Now meting by using the Invite by Email option. Instead of seeing an Outlook compose message to invite participants, users are greeted by the error message "Unable to send e-mail invitations. If you have Microsoft Outlook 2002 or later, make sure it is your primary email program."
