Keep up with new blogs from Windows Server/System Center MVPs!
Hi, all,
Christa Anderson here. Here’s a quick summary of what you’ll find in the MVP blogs this week. The blogs themselves are linked below, organized according to the blogger’s MVP expertise. (MVPs can have only one official expertise, but frequently have experience with more than one technology, so you'll find MVPs blogging about a variety of topics.)
Microsoft announced the general availability of System Center 2012 SP1 on January 15, so it’s no surprise that MVPs were all over the news, posting lots of practical information about where to download the service pack, some important updates, and issues of which you should be aware when deploying this update. There were also an announcement of the availability of Windows Azure Services for Windows Server 2012.
In other blogs, MVPs explored practical topics around Windows Server 2012, including migrating a lab to Windows Server 2012, enabling advanced features in the event log to facilitate debugging, resetting the admin password for Directory Services Restore mode, troubleshooting information for Remote Desktop Services and tips on using RDMS, how to build an iSCSI target cluster, and a series on NIC teaming. They've also highlighted some KBs that they felt most important.
Finally, MVPs announced new resources they or others had created: a new whitepaper on best practices for using antivirus on VDI, a new whitepaper on Active Directory, and a new PowerShell script for discovering the AD schema.
Enjoy!
Christa
