Goodbye ISA Server…

You might not have noticed but this month (last January 10th) ISA Server 2006 Mainstream Support ended as shown in the table below:

The question that you might have is: what about this extended support that goes until January 2017? Extended support means the following:

The Extended Support phase follows Mainstream Support for Business and Developer products.  At the supported service pack level, Extended Support includes: Paid support Security update support at no additional cost Non-security related hotfix support requires a separate Extended Hotfix Support Agreement to be purchased (per-fix fees also apply) Please note: Microsoft will not accept requests for warranty support, design changes, or new features during the Extended Support phase Extended Support is not available for Consumer, Hardware, or Multimedia products Enrollment in a maintenance program may be required to receive these benefits for certain products Source: https://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/

Better to start planning your migration as part of your new year’s resolution.

  Where did you hear that? Any Microsoft "Official" channel? I'm not aware of Microsoft releasing any official statement on that.

  As I no longer work on MS TMG Team (left one year ago blogs.technet.com/.../see-you-around-forefront-edge-community.aspx), I can’t accurately answer your question. But my guess is that once it is announced it will be published at blogs.technet.com/isablog - TMG Official Team Blog.

  i found this on wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/.../ISA_Server (read the last paragraph) now what is the replacement? i just started to work with it :(
