ApplicationIdentity.CodeBase Property

Definition

Gets the location of the deployment manifest as a URL.

C#
public string CodeBase { get; }

Property Value

The URL of the deployment manifest.

Examples

The following code example demonstrates the use of an ApplicationIdentity object to obtain the value of the CodeBase property for a manifest-based application. This code example is part of a larger example provided for the ActivationContext class.

C#
ActivationContext ac = AppDomain.CurrentDomain.ActivationContext;
ApplicationIdentity ai = ac.Identity;
Console.WriteLine("Full name = " + ai.FullName);
Console.WriteLine("Code base = " + ai.CodeBase);

Remarks

The following are two examples of CodeBase property values for an application named ActivationContext:

  • http://testserver/ActivationContext/ActivationContext.application

  • file://C:/UserFiles/UserName/SolutionName/ActivationContext/publish/ActivationContext.application.
