IFormProvider

The IFormProvider interface provides read message forms and compose message forms, in addition to message status icons.

Note

The IFormProvider interface is available only on Pocket PC 2002 and Smartphone 2002. For Windows Mobile 2003 and later, use the IFormProviderEx interface.

When to Implement

Implement IFormProvider whenever you want to extend the functionality of the Windows Mobile Messaging application with your own plug-in.

When to Use

Use IFormProvider to create new messages and to read incoming messages.

Methods in Vtable Order

IFormProvider methods	Description
IFormProvider::GetMsgStatusIconIndex	Returns the index to the appropriate icon in the symbol bitmap for the form library.
IFormProvider::ComposeMessageForm	Creates the compose message form.
IFormProvider::CreateReadForm	Creates the read message form (for displaying the message).

IFormProvider members	Description
IFormProvider::FORMTYPE	Enumeration used by the IFormProvider::ComposeMessageForm method to specify the type of message to compose.
