Receipt Bin Code Field, Location Table
Contains the default receipt bin code. You can only fill this field if the location is set up to require receiving with warehouse documents and is set up for directed put-away and pick.
For more information, see the Require Receive and Directed Put-away and Pick fields.
When you create a warehouse receipt, the program fills in the header with this bin code, and it is copied to the Bin Code field on the Take line of the resulting warehouse put-away.
Warning
If the location is set up with require receive, require put-away, require shipment, require pick, and bin mandatory, but does not require directed put-away and pick, then the Place bin code on a warehouse put-away document must not be the same as the default receipt bin code. Accordingly, when receiving a new item where no default bin code exists yet, then on the Place line of the warehouse put-away, you must manually enter a bin code that specifies where to put the item away. This bin code will become the new default bin code for this item.
