Speech Server Recovery

This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.

Because Speech Server runs on a Windows operating system, the procedures to recover Speech Server are no different than the procedures to recover the overall computer, assuming that all critical Speech Server items are backed up. To review items that are critical to recovering Speech Server, see Backing Up Speech Server.

If you have a system that does not start and must be rebuilt, see Disaster Recovery in Backing Up and Recovering Data.

Remarks

  • Note the virtual directory structure on your Web server and maintain the same paths on recovery. This approach improves your recovery time considerably.
