How to: Allow Outbound Calling and Call Transfers for a SIP Peer

This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.

For SIP peers involved in applications that perform outbound calling and call transfers, you must explicitly configure Speech Server to allow that kind of telephony activity.

Allowing Outbound Calling and Call Transfers

To allow outbound calling and call transfers

  1. Open the Speech Server Administrator console.

For more information, see How to: Start the Speech Server Administrator Console.

  2. In the console tree, expand the applicable group, and then click Trusted SIP Peers.

  3. In the details pane, right-click the trusted SIP peer you want to change, and then click Properties.

  4. Select or clear the Allow outbound calls and Allow transfers check boxes, if applicable.

  5. Click OK.

    Note

You can configure the outbound-calling characteristics of trusted SIP peers through Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) scripts. For more information, see the AllowOutboundCalls property and AllowTransfers property in TrustedSIPPeer Class.
