How to: Provide .wav Input While Debugging

Use the Voice Response Debugging Window dialog box to provide audio input using a .wav file while debugging a managed code voice response application.

Providing .wav File Input While Debugging

To provide .wav file input while debugging

  1. Start a debugging session.

    For more information, see How to: Start a Debugging Session.

  2. On the User Input tab, click Waveform Audio Input, click Browse, and then select the input file.

    The Browse button is active only when the application is waiting for input.

  3. When the recognizer expects input, click Submit.

    If the application is using a .cfg grammar for recognition, the Keyword Values list is prepopulated.

  4. Click Submit a second time.

During usability testing, the author can use Waveform Audio Input to override the input that the usability subject provides to the application.
