This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.
After you install Speech Server, the computer is preconfigured with default settings. To change these settings and add new components (such as servers, voice response applications, and SIP peers) to your deployments, use the Speech Server Administrator console or use Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) scripts or tools. The Administrator console provides an easy-to-use interface for viewing and modifying settings of all the components in your Speech Server deployments. WMI provide greater flexibility and the ability to automate administrative activities.
This section explains how to configure Speech Server and its related components to run voice response applications using the Speech Server Administrator console. For more information about using WMI scripts, see Speech Server Administration Through WMI.
