Remarks

Application authors must terminate hosted applications by calling the OnCompleted method of ApplicationHost.

An application should also implement IDisposable if it uses any resources that need explicit releasing or consumes classes that implement IDisposable. Telephony Application Services calls IDisposable.Dispose after the application calls ApplicationHost.OnCompleted.
