ReplicationFilterProcName Property

The ReplicationFilterProcName property identifies a stored procedure used to partition a table-based article.

Syntaxe

object.ReplicationFilterProcName [= value]

Parts

  • object
    An expression that evaluates to an object in the Applies To list

  • value
    A string that identifies a Microsoft SQL Server stored procedure by name

Data Type

String

Modifiable

Read/write

Prototype (C/C++)

HRESULT GetReplicationFilterProcName(SQLDMO_LPBSTR pRetVal);
HRESULT SetReplicationFilterProcName(SQLDMO_LPCSTR NewValue);

[!REMARQUE]

SQL Distributed Management Objects (SQL-DMO) strings are always returned as OLE BSTR objects. A C/C++ application obtains a reference to the string. The application must release the reference using SysFreeString.

Notes

User-specified partitioning is only active if the referenced article configuration indicates that the default partitioning mechanisms are overridden. For more information about using SQL-DMO objects to configure article partitioning, see ArticleType Property.

[!REMARQUE]

If an application sets ReplicationFilterProcName after the initial snapshot has been created, a new snapshot must be generated and then reapplied to each subscription. Snapshots are applied when the next scheduled snapshot and distribution agent run.
