[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Player SDK, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer. MediaPlayer has been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The item method retrieves a pointer to an IWMPPlaylist interface representing the playlist at the specified index.

Syntax

HRESULT item(
  [in]  long         lIndex,
  [out] IWMPPlaylist **ppItem
);

Parameters

[in] lIndex

long containing the index that identifies the playlist that the method should retrieve.

[out] ppItem

Pointer to a pointer to an IWMPPlaylist interface for the retrieved playlist.

Return value

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

S_OK	The method succeeded.
