The ITransactionBridge interface is used by the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) to provide notification of startup and shutdown.

When to Implement

You do not need to implement this interface. It is implemented by the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).

When to Use

This interface is used internally by the MS DTC.

Methods in Vtable Order

ITransactionBridge method Description
ITransactionBridge::Initialize Called by the MS DTC upon startup.
ITransactionBridge::Start Called by the MS DTC upon startup.
ITransactionBridge::Shutdown Currently, the MS DTC does not call this method upon shutdown, so objects that implement the ITransactionBridge interface must not expect this.
