Permissions

Choose the permission or permissions marked as least privileged for this API. Use a higher privileged permission or permissions only if your app requires it. For details about delegated and application permissions, see Permission types. To learn more about these permissions, see the permissions reference.

Important

For delegated access using work or school accounts, the signed-in user must be assigned a supported Microsoft Entra role or a custom role that grants the permissions required for this operation. This API supports the following built-in roles:

• Global Reader
• Security Reader
• Security Operator
• Security Administrator

Optional query parameters

This method supports the $filter and $select OData query parameters. On the base collection, these query options can reference only properties declared on activity. To reference a property declared only on a derived type, cast the collection to the derived type first.

For an auditLog cast, you can filter by the action, createdBy, createdDateTime, id, lastModifiedBy, lastModifiedDateTime, and modifiedProperties properties. For example: GET /security/caseManagement/cases/{caseId}/activities/microsoft.graph.security.caseManagement.auditLog?$filter=action eq 'update'.

For a comment cast, you can filter by the createdBy, createdDateTime, id, lastModifiedBy, lastModifiedDateTime, and message properties. For example: GET /security/caseManagement/cases/{caseId}/activities/microsoft.graph.security.caseManagement.comment?$filter=message eq 'hello'.
