Create policyApproval

Namespace: microsoft.graph.windowsUpdates

Important

Create a new policyApproval object.

This API is available in the following national cloud deployments.

Permissions

Choose the permission or permissions marked as least privileged for this API. Use a higher privileged permission or permissions only if your app requires it. For details about delegated and application permissions, see Permission types. To learn more about these permissions, see the permissions reference.

Important

In delegated scenarios with work or school accounts, the signed-in user must be an owner or member of the group or be assigned a supported Microsoft Entra role or a custom role with a supported role permission. Intune Administrator, or Windows Update Deployment Administrator are the least privileged roles supported for this operation.

Name Description

Request body

In the request body, supply a JSON representation of the policyApproval object.

You can specify the following properties when you create a policyApproval.

Property Type Description
catalogEntryId String The catalog entry ID to approve. Required.
status microsoft.graph.windowsUpdates.approvalStatus The approval status. The possible values are: approved, suspended, unknownFutureValue. Required.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 200 OK response code and a microsoft.graph.windowsUpdates.policyApproval object in the response body.
