To have your screen turn black **only when your PC is locked**, you can adjust a hidden setting in Windows 11 called the **Console lock display off timeout**. This lets you set a specific time for the display to turn off when you're on the lock screen, without affecting your usual display settings while you're using the computer. Here's how to set it up:

1. **Unhide the "Console lock display off timeout" Setting** This setting isn't visible by default, but you can reveal it with a simple command: a. **Open Command Prompt as Administrator**
   • Press the **Windows key**, type **cmd**, then right-click on **Command Prompt** and select **Run as administrator**.
   b. **Run the Command**
   • In the Command Prompt window, enter the following command and press **Enter**:

2. **Adjust the "Console lock display off timeout" Setting** Now that the setting is visible, you can configure it: a. **Open Power Options**
   • Right-click the **Start** button and select **Power Options**, or search for **Power Options** in the Start menu.
   b. **Go to Additional Power Settings**
   • On the right side, click **Additional power settings** under **Related settings**.
   c. **Change Plan Settings**
   • Click on **Change plan settings** next to your active power plan.
   d. **Access Advanced Power Settings**
   • Click **Change advanced power settings**.
   e. **Set the Console Lock Display Off Timeout**
   • In the **Power Options** dialog, scroll down and expand **Display**.
   • Find **Console lock display off timeout** and expand it.
   • Set the desired time (in minutes) for the display to turn off when the PC is locked (e.g., **1 minute**).
   f. **Adjust Other Display Settings**
   • Ensure that the **Turn off display after** setting is set to a longer duration or **Never** for when you're actively using the PC.
3. **Apply the Changes**
   • Click **Apply**, then **OK** to save your settings.
4. **Test the Setting**
   • Press **Windows key + L** to lock your computer.
   • Wait for the time you set to see if the screen turns black as expected.

Da sistema operativo non è possibile fare quel che vorresti

In teoria con una operazione schedulata che parte al blocco del PC si potrebbe far partire lo screensaver, ma realmente non funziona (testato tempo fa) perchè durante il blocco schermo avvengono comunque attività rilevate come attività utente, che riattivano lo schermo, e non essendoci un timer che fa ripartire lo screensaver, resta bloccato sulla schermata della lockscreen attiva.
