Ah ok, so much the better if the problem is solved! Have a good day!
windows defender not installed
I was installing some programs, when I restarted the pc in order to effectively apply the changes. Once it restarted, I received a notification saying that windows wasn't able to start the windows security center. I tried to open it, receiving a white page that seemed to not stop loading. Being afraid of my system being compromised, I decided to reinstall windows keeping my files. This time I was able to open the security center, but virus and threat protection section was missing from the menu. So i decided to perform a complete reinstallation, deleting also my files, but again, the option virus and threat protection wasn't there. It seemed odd, since, in the settings security menu, virus and threat protection was showing and had a check near it. So, by looking online, I tried to modify the regs where the option to show or not the menu was, but again no solution. Can you please help me understand what is going on?

2024-01-09T08:06:03+00:00 Thanks but I already tried all of the above mentioned procedures. Nothing worked. I solved the problem by rebooting my system from a usb drive. I think my system was corrupted…

2024-01-08T21:38:16+00:00 Hello Giulio, sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.
Is this what you tried in the registry, the solution on the following link?

You can also go through Group Policy Settings.
Press Windows + r keys and type: gpedit.msc
Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Microsoft Defender Antivirus.
Locate "Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus", double-click on it, and make sure it is set to "Not Configured". Then, restart your PC and check if Windows Security can open and work.
