Howard_NYC@yahoo.com says... my experience of the NYC event was basically another party... no worries... free booze, free food, some smoozing.... next time, though, given we were all itnerested in netowrking, please, please, lower the music... one of the more interesting startups was represented by a woman who found herslef needing to shout to be heard, and I was straining to hear what she was willling to share... ...and then there was the minor detail of the lower lounge becoming a game playing session, rather than a walk thru fo the actual offering...  nobody was available to stand in front of the screen and take us thru the offering... next time, please skip the fancy-smacy and rent an empty office space, forego the booze and show us soemthing.... launch parties are fine if we were media... mostly we sought actual information... for instance, was there a page on which people could link up for F2F cross-education and mutual aid during the inevitable heartaches...
