Le implementazioni di runtime di queste IUnknown funzioni sono tutte thread-safe. Ognuno di essi è ottimizzato e segue rigorosamente le regole COM per IUnknown. L'implementazione QueryInterface rispetta anche l'interfaccia ICustomQueryInterface . L'interfaccia ICustomQueryInterface non avrà mai l'opportunità di eseguire l'override delle interfacce fornite dal runtime. Ad esempio, per impostazione predefinita, il runtime fornisce l'interfaccia e, facoltativamente, l'interfaccia IUnknown Reference Tracker IReferenceTrackerTarget .
