Questa classe deve essere un'implementazione leggera di un semplice modello a oggetti XML da usare all'interno del sistema di sicurezza e non per l'uso come modello a oggetti XML generale. Questa documentazione presuppone una conoscenza di base di XML.
Il modello a oggetti XML semplice per un elemento è costituito dalle parti seguenti:
Il tag è il nome dell'elemento.
Gli attributi sono zero o più coppie di attributi nome/valore nell'elemento.
Gli elementi figlio sono zero o più elementi annidati all'interno

È consigliabile usare la rappresentazione XML basata su attributi per esprimere gli elementi di sicurezza e i relativi valori. Ciò significa che le proprietà di un elemento vengono espresse come attributi e i valori delle proprietà vengono espressi come valori di attributo. Evitare di annidare il testo all'interno dei tag. Per qualsiasi <tag>text</tag>
rappresentazione è in genere disponibile una rappresentazione di tipo <tag value="text"/>
. L'uso di questa rappresentazione XML basata su attributi aumenta la leggibilità e consente una facile portabilità WMI della serializzazione XML risultante.
Un nome di attributo deve essere un carattere o più lungo e non può essere null

Nota
Per motivi di prestazioni, la validità dei caratteri viene controllata solo quando l'elemento viene codificato in formato testo XML e non in ogni set di proprietà o metodo. I metodi statici consentono il controllo esplicito, se necessario.
