L'oggetto BindingContext di un Control oggetto viene utilizzato per restituire un singolo BindingManagerBase oggetto per tutti i controlli associati a dati contenuti in Control. mantiene BindingManagerBase sincronizzati tutti i controlli associati alla stessa origine dati. Ad esempio, l'impostazione della Position proprietà di BindingManagerBase specifica l'elemento nell'elenco sottostante a cui puntano tutti i controlli associati a dati.

Quando si esegue l'override della BindingContext proprietà in una classe derivata, utilizzare la proprietà della classe di base per estendere l'implementazione di BindingContext base. In caso contrario, è necessario fornire tutte le implementazioni. Non è necessario eseguire l'override di entrambe le get funzioni di accesso e set della BindingContext proprietà. Se necessario, è possibile eseguirne l'override.
