SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler Delegate

Note: This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 1.1 of the .NET Framework.

Represents the method that will handle the RowUpdating event of a SqlCeDataAdapter.

  [Visual Basic]
<Serializable>
Public Delegate Sub SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler( _
   ByVal sender As Object, _
   ByVal e As SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs _
)
[C#]
[Serializable]
public delegate void SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler(
   object sender,
   SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs e
);
[C++]
[Serializable]
public __gc __delegate void SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler(
   Object* sender,
   SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs* e
);

[JScript] In JScript, you can use the delegates in the .NET Framework, but you cannot define your own.

Parameters [Visual Basic, C#, C++]

The declaration of your event handler must have the same parameters as the SqlCeRowUpdatingEventHandler delegate declaration.

Remarks

The handler is not required to perform any action, and your code should avoid generating exceptions or allowing exceptions to propagate to the calling method. Any exception that reaches the caller is ignored.

The handler may use the SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs to influence the processing of the updates. For example, the handler may opt to skip the update of the current row or skip the update of all remaining rows. Note that the rows are updated in the order that they were received from the data source.

When you create a SqlCeRowUpdatingEventArgs delegate, identify the method that will handle the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For more information about event handler delegates, see Events and Delegates.
