Change the order of layers in a composition

In Deep Zoom Composer, each image or hotspot in a composition occupies a separate layer. When images or hotspots overlap, the stack of layers within a composition creates a set order called the stack order (also called the z-order). This top-to-bottom order in the Layers panel corresponds to the foreground-to-background order in the composition. Whichever image or hotspot is listed first in the Layers panel occupies the foreground of the layer in the composition.

In the preceding figure, in Example A, Image 3 is displayed beneath Images 1 and 2 in the stack order, so Images 1 and 2 can overlap and appear on top of Image 3. If you bring Image 3 forward one step (Example B), only Image 1 is displayed in front of Image 3 in the stack order. If you bring Image 3 all the way to the front or foreground (Example C), it is positioned as the foreground image and appears at the top of the list of images and hotspots in the Layers panel.

Each new image or hotspot that you add to your composition gets added as the first image or hotspot in the Layers panel, or the image or hotspot at the top of the stack.
